What is Mammon and How Does it Work?
Mammon is the love and trust in possessions, riches, and the world. It’s FINANCIAL SIN. This isn’t a sin we often look at. We see poverty as something that comes upon us. An attack from the outside.
However, consider this comparison. If you sleep with someone out of marriage, because a spirit of lust came on you, is what you did a sin or a demonic attack? Sin right? So then when our finances are stolen or when they suffer lack, why do we see it as an attack?
You aren't getting a breakthrough in your finances because you keep thinking the devil is just attacking, without realizing he has every right to be there. You gave him the keys.
It’s a spirit of poverty that puts thoughts in your head. It arranges circumstances in the wilderness to force you to turn stones into bread. It whispers words like "It's not your fault! It's your husband who doesn’t take care. It's your boss who’s greedy. It's your brother who misuses your money. It will stir up your natural desire for security and will tempt you to horde money to feel safe or to buy things that make you feel satisfied.
It’s a covenant with a demon to make you feel safe outside of Jesus. As harsh as that reality is… now that you know it, you can break free!
